Paper cranes for Sadako.

The Children’s Peace Monument has a statue of Sadako Sasaki, the little girl who died of leukaemia following radiation. Sadako’s wish was for a world without nuclear weapons and although her classmates helped her, she fell just short of a thousand cranes.
